Giovanni Vecchiato was born in 1970, he has a Degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics. He was an Assistant Professor at the IULM University in Milan. Also, he worked in property development and the Real Estate sector. For Giovanni Photography began as a passion and this has now developed into his profession. In 2016, in London, he began portrait photography focusing on actors and celebrities. In 2019 his photographic career evolved to include aerial photography which has been showcased in an exhibition at the Italian Consulate in London, entitled “Views My Eyes”. He also exhibited at the Wizard Gallery in London and several of these images were nominated and published by National Geographic. Recently Giovanni’s studio technique and portraiture have evolved to include documentary style photography. Using this technique, he enjoys photographing families and children and he beautifully captures the spontaneity and enthusiasm of their youthfulness. And it is within these portraits his passion and enthusiasm for photography is reflected. In the splendid setting of the “Loggia dei Cavalieri” in July 2020 and 2021, Giovanni was the photographer for the initiative promoted by the Municipality of Treviso: #NOISIAMOTREVISO. This was a charity event where photography was used to depict an image of its city through portraits of its citizens. The collection of these portraits was displayed in an exhibition at the Bailo Museum in Treviso (2020) and Museum of santa Caterina (2021).
